Jennifer Fliss is a New York-raised, Wisconsin-schooled, Seattle-based writer. She holds a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin and a certificate in Literary Fiction from the University of Washington. She has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net, and will be included in the 2019 Best Small Fictions anthology. Her writing has appeared in The Rumpus, PANK, The Washington Post, Gigantic Sequins, Necessary Fiction, The Kitchn, and elsewhere. She is the 2018/2019 Pen Parentis Fellow, recipient of a 2019 Artist Trust GAP award, and is currently working on her first (and second) novel.
Jennifer also is available to (happily!) edit and consult on your writing projects, be they short works, novels, or college essays. Just email her for info or if you have questions!
When not doing things associated with writing (this is rare), she can be found riding her family bike, learning the ukulele and French, pining for New York, intellectually sparring with her young daughter, and occasionally swinging on the flying trapeze (really.)
